Rugby fans everywhere, we at StubHub are proud to announce that you can now get hold of your Six Nations tickets! Offering the best selection of rugby union tickets whether you support England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, France or Italy.

Every year England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, France and Italy bring their finest Rugby Union selections, to meet up and battle it out in the Six Nations Championship. The tradition started more than a century ago and continues to play an important role in the rugby calendar. The competition consists of fifteen matches in which each of the six teams plays against each other, better yet each team at some point has the advantage of playing at their home grounds. Currently, England, having won last year's Six Nations, now holds the most trophies with 27 in total, that being said Wales is following closely behind with 26 wins. The question on everyone's lips is, will history repeat itself, or will we get a new champion this year? Or will one of the other teams get a chance to shine? Be there to witness it all go down and buy your Six Nations tickets 2017 here at StubHub!

6 Nations trophies galore

While victory of the entire tournament is certainly sought after, there are a number of smaller titles that are each contested during the Six Nations tournament. The Triple Crown trophy can only be awarded to England, Wales, Scotland or Ireland and is given to the team that manages to beat all of the other three. While this award dates back to the original Home Nations Championship, a physical trophy was only made available to win in 2006 by long-term sponsors Royal Bank of Scotland. After last season’s action, it will be interesting to see if anyone takes the trophy this year! There's also the Calcutta Cup, which is contested between England and Scotland and dates back to 1879; as suggested by its name, (which incidentally is also the capital of West Bengal), the trophy originated in India and was first played for on Christmas Day between the two countries. Other trophies include the Centenary Quaich, contested between Scotland and Ireland, and the Millennium Trophy, contested between England and Ireland. The most recent addition was in 2007, when France and Italy introduced the Giuseppe Garibaldi trophy, to contest between each other. And of course, there's the Wooden Spoon. An anti-trophy of sorts, the Wooden Spoon may not be a physical trophy, but it's certainly a title that no team wants. Unofficially awarded to the team who finishes bottom of the table, the only thing more galling than this is the idea of being whitewashed (In which a team loses all five of their matches)!
