Touring around the world
While the band was originally called Rüfüs in Australia, they had to change their name when they went to North America due to another artist having the same title. The trio just added "Du Sol" to their name for their American tours, but kept the simply Rüfüs part for Australia. In 2018 they decided it was time to take on the full name all over the world to avoid confusion. Rüfüs Du Sol has a following of electronic music fans worldwide and has performed at festivals such as US-based Lollapalooza and Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, and the Falls Music and Arts Festival in Australia. They have also toured extensively in the US and Europe. The band won two awards at the annual Electronic Music Awards in 2017 – one for "Record of the Year" and one for "Live Act of the Year".
