2018 F1 Australian Grand Prix Circuit
Officially known as the FIA Formula One World Championship, this epic race takes place at Melbourne’s famous Grand Prix circuit in Albert Park, around a man-made lake. When F1 first came to Australian shores in 1985, it called Adelaide home. However, in 1996 Melbourne hosted its first Grand Prix and, since then, the race has become extremely popular with both fans and drivers. The Melbourne Grand Prix is also famous for its party atmosphere with live music, fan zones and loads of extra on-track races and events.
The Melbourne Grand Prix Circuit is just over five-kilometres long and features 16 turns. The Melbourne lap record is held by F1 legend Michael Schumacher who clocked an impressive lap in just 1:24.125.
